SYP to host Oktibbeha County Candidates Social!!

Local civic organization invites the residents of Oktibbeha County to meet candidates prior to November 8th election.

Starkville Young Professionals (SYP) plans to host a social and stump speeches for Oktibbeha County election candidates. The event will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn on October 11th, 2011.

All candidates running for a county position in the November 8th election are invited to address the crowd and visit with residents at the social. Doors will open at 5:15 P.M. At that time, candidates will be available to visit with attendants and answer questions. At 6:15 P.M., each candidate will have two minutes to address Oktibbeha County residents. There is no admission cost for this event, and all Oktibbeha County residents are invited.

SYP hopes this event will not only assist candidates in gaining recognition, but will also allow residents to become informed voters. For more information about the social, contact Jackie Hudson at 662-325-4214.
